DPA
SMICO
The DPA model has been designed to connect consumers between the low voltage overhead distribution networks and the service lines.
It can connect service cables from 1,5 (*) to 16 mm2 (AWG 16 to 5).
The DPA makes connection of the fuse link with a stainless steel spring, so its tin plated flat contacts ensures a safe and proper connection.
The DPA is weatherproof. It is manufactured in two shapes, elbow type and vertical type (V).
Standard products are provided with a crimping type terminal connector for the tap, and an insulated contact for an easy installation on the main lines with insulated piercing connectors (IPC).
DPA can be used as a protection device, using fuses, for example in
street lighting, or as a connection or disconnection point using a
copper contact or a plastic element. This is a great advantage against
other products, because there is no need to remove fix parts, or cut DPAthe network; and as it is difficult for the user to climb on the pole to
mesh with the connection.
The DPA model has the possibility to put straps or seals in order to guarantee a secure connection.
